St. John's - in Lansdowne - invites you to our Taize Service -- A Christian Unity Service of prayer, song, and reflection.

Saturday, December 20, 2008

Time: 5:00 PM

Taizé ("TEH-zay")*: prayer/meditation, silence, and simple music that seems to calm and quiet the soul. Taizé is drawn from the practices of a monastic community founded during World War II in France for Religious dislocated by war. Now people from Catholic, Protestant and other traditions from all over the world flock to worship together in Taizé, which has been described as a "holy stop, a sabbatical rest, a truce of worries."
