• Altar Guild
  … parish women who, working in teams, prepare the altar for worship and care for the linens, candles, and other objects used in the worship service.

• Chalice Bearers
  … men, women, and young adults licensed by the Diocesan Bishop to administer the chalice, or cup, at the Eucharist.

• Choir
  … a devoted group of men and women who enjoy the ministry of music and sing regularly at the 10:30 a.m. worship service. Rehearsals take place on Sundays before and after the worship service.

• Counters
  … men and women, working in teams, who count and deposit the Sunday offerings.

• Flower Ministry Team
  ... a team of volunteers who removes the Altar flowers after the last (Sunday) service; transforms them into several arrangements; and then takes them to hospitalized or homebound parishioners.

• Food Cupboard
  … a program in which members pack and distribute donated food to house-bound people and those in need.

• Lay Readers
  … persons who, on appointed Sundays, read the scripture lessons and prayers of the people.

• Men's Fellowship
  … a men's group that meets on the first Sunday of the month, after the 10:30 Service, for fellowship; to address needs and concerns of the church; and to plan special projects.

  … a ministry to promote outreach, assist in fundraising efforts, and encourage new membership at St. John's.

• Prayer Chain
  … an organization of at least 21 members who pray for the requests of our parish members and visitors.

• Transformation Leadership Team
  … a group that plans and oversees events and projects to invite and welcome visitors and newcomers to St John's.

• United Thank Offering (UTO)
  … a special program in which Episcopal churches throughout the world take part in a twice-yearly offering to support home and foreign missions. Over the years, the UTO has provided grants to build churches, school, and clinics.

  …these people greet and welcome worshippers and present the offerings to the altar.

  … a body of men and women elected to meet regularly with the Rector to ensure the effective running of the Parish by guiding finances, maintaining the church property, and performing related tasks.
