Join a team of volunteers to help plant trees (and other related jobs). Please join us if you are interested in improving the look of Lansdowne's busiest intersection. Call the parish office (610-623-3731) during the week for details.

Advent Teaching Series: The Gospel of Mark

Location: Parish Hall

Father Ken will be offering an Advent teaching series on the Gospel of Mark, starting on Sunday, November 23rd. Mark will be the Gospel for the coming liturgical year, beginning the First Sunday of Advent, November 30th. Mark is the shortest of the Gospels and can be read in about an hour. Participants are asked to read this first of the Gospels before the 23rd.

2009 Annual Pledge

It's time for parish members to submit their pledges for 2009. Our parish bases its 2009 budget on the amount of money pledged. Please pledge what you think you can afford. St. John's understands today's uncertain economy, and will not "bill" you if your total contribution does not match your pledge. Thank you.

NOTES: Non-perishable food items for the Food Cupboard will be collected at the door. Also, as is the custom, the offering will be divided between the Food Cupboard and the "Lansdowne & Vicinity Ministerium Emergency Fuel Fund."

St. John's Second Annual Thanksgiving  Dinner

Location: Parish Hall
(Enter through the Lych Gate on Lansdowne Avenue.)

Father Ken & Bernice Wissler invite you to the Second Annual St. John's Family Thanksgiving Dinner. Bernice will be preparing the old fashioned Thanksgiving dinner, but she needs to know how many turkeys, pies, and mashed potatoes (etc.) to make. Therefore, please sign your name and the number of people in your party on the sign-up sheet in the Parish Hall by November 21st.
