WELCOME

St. John the Evangelist's Episcopal Church welcomes you. This website contains some basic information about who we are and what we believe.

Our members represent a varied, multi-ethnic group. The Episcopal Church celebrates diversity, honors tradition, and transforms lives.

In addition to worship services, we offer lively and insightful Christian education, from childhood through adulthood, and also a variety of activities and ministries.

We invite you to visit our church. If you are a newcomer to St. John's, see the Newcomers' Information page. No matter who you are or where you are on your spiritual journey, there's a place for you at St. John's.

LOCATION: We're located in the heart of Lansdowne, near the corner of Lansdowne & Baltimore Avenues. You can park at the street meters or park free in the Blockbuster /Mission Burrito parking lot on Baltimore Avenue. The church entrance is directly across the street at 19 W. Baltimore Avenue. Otherwise, you can enter through the Lych Gate (shown in top sketch), located at 22 N. Lansdowne Avenue (next to the Thrift store), and follow the walkway (left) to the church entrance.

NOTE

Some of our blind members are accompanied to services and parish events by guide dogs. These guide dogs are extremely well trained and obedient, and are trained not to "bother" other people. We hope you'll feel at ease in their presence. For information on our visually challenged members and how to interact with their dogs, click here.

St. John's parish represents a diverse, multi-ethnic group, and all Christians are welcome.
